# Domain Activation

## Admin Center - Domain Activation

{% hint style="info" %}
**Register a subdomain name in a customer tenant**\
You will need to create a unique, fully qualified subdomain name for every customer.\
In this example, we will create a subdomain '*sbc1.customers.adatum.biz'* in a tenant with the default domain name '*woodgrovebank.us'*. All actions below are in the customer tenant.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
**Ensure that you have appropriate rights in the customer tenant.**\
You can only add new domains if you signed in to the Microsoft 365 admin centre as a Global Administrator.<br>

To validate the role you have, please sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin centre (<https://portal.office.com>), go to Users > Active Users, and then verify that you have a Global Administrator role.<br>

For more information about admin roles and how to assign a role in Microsoft 365 or Office 365, see About admin roles.<br>

Admin Center URL: <https://admin.microsoft.com> | Teams Admin URL: <https://teams.admin.microsoft.com&#x20>;

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.cebodtelecom.com/microsoft-teams-integration/direct-routing-user-guide/domain-activation.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
