Call transfer

You can transfer the calls to an Internal Extension or an External Phone Number. The keys involved are:
Blind Transfer- Press *1 followed by extension or any phone number on your Yealink Handset.
This will allow you to transfer an existing call to another Internal Extension or External Phone Number while providing the name and the number of the caller being transferred.
Steps involved :
During an Active call, using the soft key button below the screen of the handset, press the Transfer button.
This would put your caller On Hold and provide you with a Dial Tone.
Now, dial the 3 or 4 digit Extension Number or 10 digit Phone Number you are transferring the call to, followed by the Transfer button again.
The transfer is complete once the main screen on your handset returns to an Active State.
Attended Transfer:
This will allow you to introduce the caller you are attempting to transfer, prior to completing the transfer.
  • Attended Transfer to internal extension number – Press *4 followed by extension number on your Yealink Handset.
Here, the recipient would see the Name and Extension Number of the user attempting to transfer the call on their handset display.
  • Attended Transfer to external number – Press*7 followed by the Phone Number on your Yealink Handset.
Here, the recipient would see the Phone Number of the transferring party.
Steps involved :
During an Active call, using the soft key button below the screen of the handset, press the Transfer button.
This would put your caller On Hold and provide you with a Dial Tone.
Now, dial the 3 or 4 digit Extension Number or 10 digit Phone Number you are transferring the call to. This will dial that extension or phone number and allow you to speak with the recipient before transferring the call. You have to wait until the the recipient answers the call so that you would get a chance to brief them before transferring the clients call.
In this case, there are two cases:
  • If the recipient accepts the call, press the Transfer soft key to complete the transfer.
  • If the recipient does not accept the call and disconnects on their end, it will automatically put your caller on a hold state. You can therefore, resume the call to further manage call handling.
